Group Prenatal Visits
Whether you are giving birth at a hospital, home or birth center, we believe that birth outcomes are improved by replacing fear with knowledge. Topics covered include;
Pregnancy - common discomforts and treatments, exercise and nutrition, Doula care, intimacy, herbs and essential oils, and prenatal parently
Labor and Birth - coping strategies in labor, what to expect, undisturbed birth and the golden hour
Post-partum period and newborn care - self-care, soothing a fussy newborn, baby-wearing, circumcision/foreskin care, breastfeeding expectations and positions, post-partum intimacy

Childbirth Preparation Class
Our Childhood Preparation Class is led by an instructor who facilitates discussions and encourages group interaction. All topics are covered — from late pregnancy through delivery and postpartum. Comfort measures and coping techniques for labor also are covered extensively. One Saturday a month, $50. Led by Kate Parks CDM, CPM. Open to the public. Education & support to parents during their pregnancy and baby's first three years. Home/office visits, telephone consults, community referrals, classes and resources. 907-377-4042
-Baby Mingle Program- 1st Wednesday each month, May- Sept 9-10am. Meet, mingle & generate friendships with other parents/caregivers. Learn new developments in early childhood education & take home resources from community partners. Enjoy early museum hours, visiting resource providers, a baby friendly environment and lots of play time! FREE admission.
